The differences in the codes and conventions of long form television dramas reflect the different attitudes and beliefs of the audience that consume them. This is because LTVD’s need to create content which caters to their target audience such as mass audiences and niche audiences. In order to be successful. Differently DR’s codes and conventions appeal to a niche Nordic audience as it’s a small public service broadcaster, requiring a licence fee to create this content.
